Sam lounged on a bench in the courtyard, half reading a book while glancing up at the trees that shaded her every now and again. The sun was bright and she was waiting for Jason to turn up. |

Ylana walked out of the castle towards the lake, thinking that maybe she could get some of the fresh water to put into her latest potion, when she spotted her best friend, Samantha Jackson, lounging on a nearby bench. Creeping up on her, she sat on the bench and slid up beside the redhead. "Hey there S-s-s-Sam." she grinned like an idiot. "What're ya reading this time? I thought you hated all books."

Sam snorted. "No, I said I didn't like to read school books. Fiction books are the best. Plus you're one to talk - always got your nose stuck between the pages of a good ol' novel!"
